Matt Warmbier preached his first sermon
at Holy Trinity.
Matt’s first sermon was on Pentecost Sunday. From Peter’s Pentecost sermon, he showed how God, through Jesus’ death and resurrection, repaired completely the broken relationship we had with our Creator. Matt then pointed to the many kinds of broken relationships we have with each other—parent and child, spouse and spouse, sibling and sibling, friend and friend, country and country—there is no end to them. But are these any worse than our broken relationship with God? There is absolutely no problem too big for Jesus. He can fix anything!
On the same day, Jacob Binsbacher received an HTLC scholarship check.
Also on Pentecost Sunday, Jacob Binsbacher received a $250.00 check from Janet Stokes. Representing all the people who worked so very hard on the recent rummage sale, Janet presented the HTLC college scholarship check to Jacob.
