THANK YOU and Blessings from Tina!
Mark 10:14 reads: When Jesus saw what was happening He was angry with His disciples. He said to them: 'Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these little children. I tell you the truth; anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.' Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them."
Our congregation is very blessed to be able to have this mission right on the doostep of our church. We have what many, many other churches only dream about. This is not a building full of stuff and kids sitting in our parking lot. It is a home to 57 children and 13 teachers, five days a week. It is a home filled with love and joy that is shared with smiles, laughter and, some days, tears. But like any home, every now and then, it needs a repair here or a coat of paint there because the walls are well-felt by little hands that just love to touch and because they know it is their home away from home.
I thank God for continuing to provide the the teachers who have been with me over the past four years and the new teachers who have come and made themselves at home in our crazy days. It is not just a blessing to me, but to all the children. They know that every day when they come to school they will see faces they know and love. I thank the Board of Christian Education for the support of letting me spend my days here, and for their support in times when I feel I have lost my way. I thank Pastor Roger for sharing his love of Jesus every week, and I thank Janet and Sandy for greeting the children with smiles and hugs when they come to chapel. I thank the congregation for their support and generous donations when I ask for help. We were truly blessed at this years' Green Auction with the outpouring of donations for purchasing the new cribs. I am still in awe of how fast the power of God moved through that room! Over the next year, please pray for our child care center, the children, their families, and our teachers. Pray that the Lord will continue to bless us in today's economy, that He provide us with the necessities we need to continue caring for our children and those that may join us in the future.
With Love,
Tina
