Holy Trinity is linked to Hungary, where GEO missionary Melissa Karges serves. GEO missionaries serve for one- to two-year terms in locations around the world. She writes: “Before Christmas, I decided to take advantage of the season and start Advent devotions in my classes. Our first devotion was about promises. We talked about the first promise that God made in the Bible — to send a Savior. Why would God do such a thing? In Hungary, the majority of people believe in God — this idea makes sense to them — however, they see no need for Jesus. Discussing this promise was quite interesting because I got to watch some of them wrestle with the idea of why Jesus is important.
“Many students asked a lot of very good questions. I did my best to give answers, but I was more excited about the opportunities it created to talk to some students outside the classroom!”

to go to Uganda for the first time, the church had only one ordained
pastor. By the time we arrived in Uganda a year and a half ago, the church
was served by two ordained pastors and... |

not been to church since they baptized their little ones. This means
that currently, there are four of us who are out and about, visiting

dedication of the recently purchased property for the building of a future church!
At 5:23 p.m., the first few start to gather under the tent. In the distance,

“During the last few weeks of my teaching at Lutheran Language Institute (LLI),
I asked many students, ‘What did you learn about God or the Bible during your
time here?’ I will tell you about two responses, both from my Tuesday evening
class, the rest you can find on my
blog. The high school girl ... |

“This month, I was blessed to be able to witness the Baptisms of five of my friends who have come to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ! Included in these five are two girls who are students at one of the universities in my city. They came to an English-speaking Bible study that I attend, and there they heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ... |
